Cynthia Le

I’ve always loved beauty. In high school and college, I was obsessed with makeup. I watched so many tutorials and hauls on YouTube and bought way more makeup than I needed. I enjoyed the creative expression that makeup offered and the coverage it provided for my acne. I struggled with acne throughout my teenage years and early adulthood; it was a big insecurity for me. Learning more about skincare ingredients and developing a consistent and effective routine helped me better manage it.

During COVID lockdown, I learned how to do many beauty services at home since I couldn’t go out to get them done. I lifted and tinted my own lashes, laminated, threaded, and tinted my own brows, painted my nails, cut my own hair, made my own sugar wax, and waxed nearly every part of my body (including giving myself 8 Brazilian waxes!). Feeling burnt out in my higher education career, I decided to pivot and pursue my passion for beauty by becoming a Licensed Esthetician.

When I’m not lifting lashes, brows, and skin, you can find me lifting heavy weights in the gym. I’m also an online fitness coach and competitive powerlifter. For fitness tips, follow @flex.cyn on Instagram!
